A man has been injured by falling debris from a crane at a residential development in Chiswick, west London.
Emergency services were called to Colonial Road, Chiswick, at around 2pm on Tuesday 10 June following reports of a man injured on a building site from falling debris.
A Bellway Homes spokeswoman confirmed the falling debris incident occurred at its Chiswick Point development, where Graham Construction is the main contractor on the 126-home scheme.
The man was taken to hospital in a serious condition, the Metropolitan Police said on Tuesday.
A Graham Construction spokesman confirmed one worker was taken to hospital as a precaution, but had since been discharged.
The London Ambulance Service treated two further patients at the scene.
A Bellway Homes spokeswoman said: “We are currently working with Graham Construction to investigate the incident. Graham Construction is in contact with the Health and Safety Executive and assisting them with anything further that they require.
“Our thoughts are with the injured worker, who was released from hospital last night, and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
The HSE is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
